Internationality in the degree program

In teaching, the department organises the "International Economics and Management" course, which can be studied in English and provides students from many different countries with the relevant specialist knowledge of economic processes and methodological skills that equip them for the regional, national and international labour market.

We live internationalisation: in our course content on global markets, multinational companies and international organisations, with our students and lecturers from all over the world and through our diverse opportunities to gain international experience in Paderborn and at one of our more than 70 partner universities.

about the study programme

Gain international experience during your studies

The doors are already open to students during their studies to get to know other countries as part of exchange semesters or organised programmes with the option of a double Master's degree.
The pandemic, which has inevitably changed teaching considerably, has once again made it clear to us how important it is to learn with and from each other. We have met the task of continuing to make this possible with great commitment
and some success.

Final theses

The Department of Economics participates in the centralised application procedure for th eses of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. In principle, any student of Paderborn University can apply for a thesis at one of the professorships of the Department of Economics. You should be interested in the topics and research areas of the respective professorship and ideally be able to document this in your previous course of study. The topic of the thesis is determined by the respective professorship. As a rule, you have the right to make your own suggestions, but these do not have to be taken up.

Back in Japan, however, he realised that he was not able to immerse himself in the German language and culture as deeply as he would have liked during his stay. So he came back for the Master's programme.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained - that could be Kevin's motto. He jumped in at the deep end and moved to the Pader to study. At university, he clearly expressed his opinion and that of the students, and at not even 30 years old, he has taken over a company.
